Panasonic stories in 60 sec:Panasonic Energy Kansas Factory
views
Panasonic Energy has started operations at one of the largest automotive lithium-ion battery factories in North America, located in De Soto, Kansas.
To date, the company has supplied approximately 20 billion cells—enough for around 4 million EVs—while maintaining a record of zero vehicle recalls caused by its batteries.
With this new factory, we aim to further accelerate EV adoption and significantly reduce CO2 emissions from transportation, contributing to a more sustainable society.
This project also represents the largest economic development initiative in Kansas history, and in addition to creating new job opportunities, we are committed to human resource development through partnerships with local universities, building a future together with the community.
