Much expectation is centering on Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai as a place for people worldwide to share ideas and co-create for a future society, and an event to gather advanced technology and global intelligence to solve common issues facing humanity, and thus create and communicate new concepts.

HAZAITHON 2024 is a project to generate ideas to upcycle scrap materials. HAZAITHON is a coined word, combining hazai, a Japanese term meaning scrap materials, and ideathon. Looking toward utilization in the Expo, this program will work with students and creators to turn scrap materials from Panasonic and from the construction of the pavilions into products with new value.

This video features a visit to a showroom and students presenting their ideas.
