A Sword Forged from Panasonic Shaver Blade Steel (1/3)

Panasonic has adopted the concept of "Japanese Blade Technology" to express the outstandingly high quality of its shavers. To certify the high performanceof the latest Panasonic shaver, we implemented a project to create a Japanese sword employing traditional forging methods and the same type of steel used for the inner blades of the shaver.

Since stainless steel was harder than iron which regular Japanese swords are made from, the swordsmith had to carefully control the temperature when forging and tempering the metal.
