As an official worldwide partner of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), Panasonic aspires to contribute to the promotion of sports among persons with a disability and the Paralympic Movement. And agreeing with the visions of the Paralympic Sports Center, Panasonic has delivered a cylindrical digital signage system comprised of 18 55-inch video wall displays (TH-55LFV70J) and a DLP projector (PT-DZ10K) to the Paralympic Sports Center's new office in Toranomon.
Funded by The Nippon Foundation, the Paralympic Sports Center was established to create a foundation for Paralympic sports associations and to promote Paralympic sports, and will serve as a support center and hub of communication for Paralympic sports leading up to the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. Many Paralympic sports associations are still underdeveloped and some do not even have their own offices or dedicated staff, so the center will provide the first floor of the building free of charge so that the associations may use the space as a shared office in central Tokyo. The staff there will also help with the administration and operation.
Panasonic's digital signage system has been installed in the center of the entrance to serve as the face of the new office, and the DLP projector will project images onto a screen installed in the first floor window to share the latest information with visiting affiliates, media, and passersby.
