The Panasonic Group in China embarks on a large-scale tree planting initiative in Inner Mongolia
Employees of the Panasonic Group in China have begun a large-scale tree planting initiative in People’s Republic of China, Inner Mongolia. They will plant 100,000 trees in the Panasonic China Public Forestation Project, which is as large as the Tianamen Square in Beijing. who has already planted 190,000 trees all around China, aims to plant 1 million trees by 2018, its 100th anniversary. On April 12, 2013 many Panasonic Group employees volunteered to plant the first batch of 100,000 trees. By planting trees that are resilient against dry and windy climates, Panasonic hopes to help stop desertification and promote greening.
